We have been getting asked ever since we first opened if we would ever sell our homemade produce to take home…
Well now we do!
You can take a bit of The Lime Tree Inn experience home or give it as a gift to others.
We sell all of our products directly from The Lime Tree Inn so please pop in to buy anything you fancy and our team will be happy to help.
Our products so far:
Marmalade: The most asked for product. a beautiful balance of bitter and sweet with notes of burnt caramel and rosemary.
Smoked Salmon: We cure this for a couple of days in a Scottish cure with a few extra spices added in before we smoke it with oak shavings donated to us by a local craftsman. We serve this for breakfast with creamy scrambled eggs as well as making its way onto our main menu a couple of times a year.
Nut Granola: A lovely way to start your day with a dollop of thick yogurt, flavours of Almond, coconut and toasted seeds giving you a great reason to jump out of bed in the morning.
Hob Nobs: Served as a welcome biscuit in the rooms. Goes beautifully with a cuppa.
Brown sauce: A blend of sweet and sour fruity flavours finishing with hints of walnut and spice
Cultured butter: It’s a three day process to make our butter, Infused with garden herbs, we then whipp it to lighten the texture but bring out the flavour.
Fermented chilli (the red one): This is a spicy one! Packed with flavour of toasted chilli, peppercorn and spices, you wi.l end up adding it to everything.
Fermented chilli (the green one): From a batch of green tomatoes that we had left at the end of the season we created this little number. Its a bit of a mix between a lime pickle and a green chilli salsa, which turned out rather lovely.
Salt aged beef dripping: Rendered down from all the beef we cook for our famous Sunday roasts. Slowly roasted with garlic and herbs, you can either spread it on bread to enjoy or use it to cook the best roast potatoes you will ever have.
Green tomato Chutney: Some more of our green tomatoes that we turned into this wonderful chutney that matches beautifully with cold meats and cheese
Our Bread: Rob created this recipe over 8 years ago and has been making it ever since as it is so popular, a heavenly match with our butter or as toast with our jams and marmalade.
Apple and mint jelly: Served with our roast pork on a Sunday, delicious
Spiced Apple Jelly: Apples from Great Ouseburn with background notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove.
Apple and Vanilla jelly: Apples from Great Ouseburn with a lovely fragrance of fresh vanilla pods.
RedwoodChair bowls and spoons: If you have been to the Lime Tree Inn you will have had some of Rob Duckmanton’s beautiful wooden bowls, spoons etc.. complimenting our food. Carved by hand they are beautiful to hold and use as well as to look at.
Noble isle toileteries: We have so many guests complimenting us on our toiletries that we want to be able for you to take them home to enjoy too.
